We are pleased to introduce our newest phpFox add-on, ‘Message Roulette V1.1’. By no means an original concept but hopefully something new and fun for the phpFox community. This very simple and user friendly phpFox module quite simply allows users from your entire community to interact with each other completely randomly.

Message Roulette allows users to stipulate search criteria when sending random messages. All messages received go straight to the recipients phpFox inbox and all replies are logged and threaded in each user’s own personal inbox.

Users can view all their previously sent messages and received messages with a list of all the users they have interacted with. With each message is a link to the users phpFox inbox where any replies will be threaded. 

We all know how lazy some users can be, so therefore the default ‘member setting’ means once the add-on is installed, all of your users will automatically be included as a Message Roulette member and will have to manually opt out to stop receiving messages. Alternately the admin’s have the option to alter this and instead, all members will have to manually select ‘Yes’ to become a member and start receiving messages. 

Admin’s can also select the total number of messages a user can send in a 24 hour period.

• User are given the ability to connect randomly and message users across your entire community and communicate with members they would ordinarily never encounter.
• When sending a message users can make gender and age specific searches.
• Users can select the number of random messages sent in one go, from a selection of 5, 7 and 10 messages.
• Users can upload images for the mystery recipients adding an extra level of excitement.
• The add-on randomly selects members that the user has not messaged before and then utilises the phpFox mailing system to message the users.
• All messages are received in the users inbox and any subsequent replies will be threaded using phpFox’s mailing system.
• Users can view all their received messages in one place.
• Users can view all their sent messages, listing every user to receive a message.

• Admins can set the total number of messages users can send in a 24 hour period.
• Admins can choose whether users are automatically included as members and have to manually opt out to stop receiving messages. Or users have to manually opt in to start sending and receiving messages.
